The end of October is fast approaching and with it comes my favorite holiday of the year… Halloween! [link] best part about Halloween is dressing up in a costume and going “trick-or-treating.” [link] I thought it would be fun to revisit Luigi’s “Drop In Challenge” using the theme of “Halloween: Tick-Or-Treating!”
NOTE: I’m not sure how many of you actually celebrate Halloween (it’s a pretty big deal here in the US), but even if you don’t I think this will still be a fun challenge!
Here are the RULES: [link]
1. First, take a PHOTOGRAPH of your FRONT DOOR / PORCH. If you don’t have access to a camera, try looking online for a photo you could use.
2. Next, design a CHARACTER to DROP IN to your PHOTOGRAPH.
3. Finally, design a COSTUME for your character to WEAR while he or she is “trick-or-treating.” Your costume can be SCARY, FUNNY, CUTE, whatever… just make sure it’s an ORIGINAL DESIGN that looks cool.
Characters can be MALE, FEMALE, WHATEVER… as long as they are dressed in a cool Halloween costume.
You can submit each step as you go -- OR -- you can just submit the final image.
Your FINAL image should be of ONE character DRESSED in a Halloween costume and DROPPED INTO a photo of your front door / porch area. We’re basically creating a “trick-or-treating” scene.
Absolutely NO FAN ART or PRE-EXISTING characters will be accepted.
Finally, please include the DAC GROUP name somewhere in your description when submitting. This will help us accept your art FASTER!
